Being in debt doesn’t mean that you have no life it just means that you have to change some of the ways that you do things in order to reduce your outgoings each month. I have thrown together a few tips on how to do this:

Next time your friends say about a night out at a nice restaurant what you could do to save money is suggest a pizza and games night at your place. Instead of buying the pizza from Domino’s you can purchase them frozen and cook them in your own oven. This will save you around $10 a pizza. Also buy wine and beer from the cheaper section, its not as nice but it will do the same job (for example get you drunk). By staying home you could end up saving $30 per person.

Walk and pick up don’t get delivered. Sounds straight forward doesn’t it but I came across someone the other day who has their milk delivered to their door because it was easy, it was also expensive. The price of a bottle of milk was 13.5% more because it was delivered rather than walking to the shop that was 2 blocks away.

These are just a few simple ideas that will help you save a few extra dollars but the real truth behind getting out of debt is reducing what you actually pay back which I will be taking a closer look at tomorrow.
